Already in Standard there are way too many "fiddly controls" synths that may be good for getting some random inspiration, but I don't feel they really add to the toolbox. To get the full Symphony Series you need to upgrade twice, there's not much else that hits my eye, maybe the cinematic stuff. more, but even though I have heavy "collectivitis" (wanting to have everything) I find it hard to justify. (Not to mention full Kontakt - a prerequisite for many sample libraries out there.) It is much easier to work with, a great step forward. You get all the synths and tools - Reaktor, Massive, Massive X, Absynth, Prism, MikroPrism - these are tools that allow you to do anything, and Massive X is a steal in a bundle or at half-price. U/uberdavis is absolutely right - Ultimate is not as good an investment as Standard is.įor me, Standard was a no-brainer. ![]()
